Privacy Policy

Curio offers self-guided audio walking tours through the app and walkwithcurio.com. This policy describes what we collect, what stays on your device, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Account. Signing in uses Sign in with Apple or an email magic link. With Apple, we receive your name (if you choose to share it) and your email address — or Apple's private relay address if you hide it. With a magic link, we receive the email address you enter. Either way, this is stored with our authentication provider so you can sign back in.

Content you create. If you record narration or author a tour, the recordings and drafts you submit are stored on our servers so we can build and serve your tour.

Messages you send us. When you contact support or join the waitlist, we keep your email and message so we can respond.

What stays on your device

Your location. Curio uses your location on the device to advance tour narration as you walk. Your location is not sent to or stored on our servers.

Your ZIP code. The ZIP code entered during setup is kept on the device to remember your service area.

What we don't do

Curio has no ads and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not sell your data or share it for marketing.

Service providers

Curio runs on Google Firebase (authentication, database, file storage, and hosting), which processes data on our behalf. Like most services, our servers keep standard connection logs (such as IP addresses) for security and abuse prevention.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account and its data at any time in the app, under Settings. You can also request deletion from the support page; we delete it promptly and confirm when it's done.

Children

Curio is not directed at children under 13.
